(Walt Disney Studios, 1955) Original production drawing of Jiminy Cricket from an educational serial on the The Mickey Mouse Club, showing the well-dressed cricket holding his umbrella in a delightful full-length talking pose. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 15.5 x 12.5 animation paper. Image measures 6 x 5.75. In fine condition. The Jiminy Cricket character was used to educate children on four cartoon serials that aired on The Mickey Mouse Club TV program between 1955 and 1959. The serials were entitled: I'm No Fool (safety), You and Your (human body), Nature of Things (animals), and Encyclopedia (spelling).
