New Line Cinema promotional poster for the film Jimi Plays Berkeley, 22 x 34. While not regarded as great film-making, nonetheless, Jimi Plays Berkeley does capture the essence of Hendrix in concert. Arguably, this swan song documentary, posthumously released in 1971, features some of Jimi’s most riveting performances, culled from his two gigs on May 30, 1970, at the Berkeley Community Theatre, a mere three months before his untimely passing. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, scattered mild creasing, small areas of paper loss to the right corners, and a few small tears with reparative tape.
