Jimi Hendrix’s personally owned and worn multicolored suede vest with blue, red, and purple patchwork patterns and red fringe to front and back midsections. This fabulous vest is without tags or markings and measures approximately 23.25? from shoulder to hem. In fine condition, with expected wear from use. Hendrix can be seen wearing similar outfits—fringed styles and patchwork patterns—in photographs of him on stage taken throughout his career.

Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Al Hendrix, the father of Jimi Hendrix, and reads, in full: "This re[d], purple and red fringe vest was a vest worn and owned by my son Jimi. It was worn many times by him.” Also accompanied by signed letter of authenticity from Tom Hulett of Concerts West, Inc., which reads, in part: “I hereby certify that this red, blue multi color patchwork fringe suede vest [was] owned and worn used by Jimi Hendrix. My company Concerts West managed all bookings for Jimi's concerts, travel arrangements and concert security…This fringe vest along with some other items of Jimi's personal property was given to me by Al Hendrix in 1991."

A rare opportunity to own an article of clothing worn by one of rock’s most storied musicians—immortalized for his heroics on the guitar, Hendrix’s overall style was befitting of the eclectic, psychedelic tone of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, with this handsome suede vest indicative of both the times and its legendary, trend-defining owner.
