Ballpoint signature and inscription, "To Eddie, I wish the Best of luck & Success with your group—Be Groovy—constantly, Jimi Hendrix,” on an off-white 7 x 9 sheet. In fine condition, with light handling wear and a central vertical fold. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.

The recipient, Eddy Pumer, was the guitarist for the psychedelic rock and folk group Kaleidoscope, which performed at the Isle of Wight Festival on August 28, 1970, under the name Fairfield Parlour. Their song ‘Let the World Wash In,' which was released with the name ‘I Luv Wight,’ was used as the festival's theme song. Determined to compete with the success of Woodstock the previous year, organizers for the Isle of Wight made a point to recruit the extraterrestrial services of Jimi Hendrix. With his confirmation, the roster floodgates opened and other chart-topping acts like the Doors, the Moody Blues, the Who, Miles Davis, and Jethro Tull quickly joined the handbill. Joined on stage by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox, Hendrix performed his penultimate performance in the early hours of August 31, 1970, passing away at the age of 27 just eighteen days later.
