Choice vintage ballpoint signature, “Stay Groovy, Jimi Hendrix,” on an off-white 5.25 x 3.75 album page, also signed on the reverse by Gary Walker; consignor notes that this was signed at their show at the Finsbury Park Astoria on March 31, 1967. Also includes ephemera related to the show (originally obtained from a separate source), including: an extremely rare and coloful 5.75 x 11.5 handbill for the March 31st show featuring the Walker Brothers, Hendrix, Cat Stevens, and Engelbert Humperdinck, with its original ticket order form intact; a ticket stub for the show; and tour program. In overall fine to very fine condition. Also accompanied by a copy of a photo of Hendrix sitting backstage with Cat Stevens, Humperdinck, and Gary Walker. Originating from the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s opening night of their first tour ever, this early complete set of items from the same date—all in remarkable condition—would likely be essentially impossible to assemble again. Even more remarkable, this was the first time that Hendrix set his guitar on fire during a performance.
