Short-lived but highly influential English/American rock band best known for the uniquely virtuosic guitar work of frontman Jimi Hendrix (1942–1970). Though initially conceived in 1966 as Hendrix’s backing band, The Experience soon became one of the first groups to popularize the ‘power trio.’ Vintage ink signatures, “Love always, Jimi Hendrix,” “Noel Redding,” and “Love, Mitch,” on an off-white 3.5 x 5.25 lightly-lined slip. In very good condition, with partial separation and tear to central horizontal fold, affecting single letters of Redding’s and Mitchell’s signatures, a central horizontal fold through a single letter of Hendrix’s signature and sentiment, scattered creasing and wrinkling, edge tears, and some mild toning. Despite the flaws, all three signatures are crisp and completely legible, with Hendrix’s signature perched above those of his bandmates. One of rock and roll’s most coveted signatures!
