Extremely rare original program for the 2nd Annual Northern California Folk-Rock Festival held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, California, on May 23-25, 1969, 8.5 x 11.5, 20 pages, which features an opening letter from KROQ-FM program director Rick Carroll, and terrific images of the scheduled performers: the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jefferson Airplane, The Chambers Brothers, Eric Burdon, Canned Heat, Steve Miller, Chuck Berry, and more. In fine condition, with light scuffs, stains, and creases to covers, with a pin hole to upper left corner passing through the entire program.

Radio station KSJO reported that acts on the bill—Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, in particular—were not going to appear and were booked elsewhere. Some in the know said it was Peter Grant, Led Zeppelin’s manager, who was behind the rumor, attempting to squeeze some more money from Bob Blodgett, the festival's promoter, for Led Zeppelin’s performance. Grant’s plan backfired, with the promoter retaliating and paying the Jimi Hendrix Experience $30,000—an unheard of about of money at the time, and whose performance at the festival was spectacular.
