Exceedingly rare unsigned book: The Lords: Notes on Vision. First edition, printed as a limited issue of 100 copies. Self-published and privately printed by Western Lithographers, Los Angeles, 1969. Housed in the original blue portfolio with red string tie and gilt lettering, "The Lords / Notes on Vision / James Douglas Morrison," 8.5 x 11, 82 loose-leaf pages. These unbound pages could be rearranged in any order by the reader. In very good to fine condition, with edgewear and light creasing to the portfolio, folds and creases to the portfolio's red cardstock tiedowns, and traces of adhesive where flaps were once sealed; inner pages are fine with some very mild corner creasing and some slight color transfer from the navy blue portfolio to page edges. This rare edition of Morrison's first self-published poetic work was given to Tony Glover in June 1969.
