Although the series later devolved to forgettable questions along the lines of "What if the Dazzler Had an Eating Disorder?" this premiere issue posed the interesting question of what might have happened if Spider-Man had joined the Fantastic Four way back at the dawn of the Marvel Age of Comics. On this nicely drawn page, we see the Fantastic <I>Five</B></I> up against the Sub-Mariner, with Sue Storm in deadly danger. The art is 10" x 15" on an 11" x 16" page and is in very nice condition, but with some tape remnants on the margins. <B>Estimate: $400-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
