Unusual painted silver quadruple plate jewelry box in wonderful condition has a raised floral design covering the box in antique cream with darker crevices. Green and pink applied raised garland in the same metal graces the top. Matching painted designs on other four sides. Beaded trim with green banding and bun feet. Lock with no key. The interior lined in pink satin,padded lid,still in good condition. Some darkening to quadruple plate on the interior lid around the satin,the only section unpainted besides the bottom. Made by the Derby Silver Company,marked on the bottom with the anchor and crown synbol below. The number "44" above and "3462" below. This markig was only used from 1872-1898. Measures 7.25L X 4.25H X 6.25W.
