"Jetons of Lauer" refers to metal tokens, often called jetons or jettons, that were produced by members of the Lauer family, a dynasty of die-cutters and minters in Nuremberg, Germany. These tokens, made from roughly the 16th century to the 19th century, were originally used for counting on a reckoning board but were also made as decorative or commemorative items, sometimes imitating coins or depicting European monarchs. Six jetons made by Lauer. Four of Wilhelm III, one of Franz Joseph, one small silver.
