Baseball Hall of Famer (1893-1978). Vintage glossy 5 x 6.5 news service photo showing Haines in his St. Louis Cardinals home unform, signed in fountain pen. Stamped on the reverse with a June 30, 1936 date, an old newspaper clipping, and a news office label on the reverse. In very good condition, with several light scratches and surface marks, a miscue start of his signature at the far left, a few spots of staining, and some silvering to the darker areas. In his 18-year career, Haines was known for his blistering fast ball and baffling knuckleball. He won 210 games and once led the National League in both complete games and shutouts.
