Nicknamed The Bellflower Bomber, Quarry was called by some the best heavyweight boxer to never win a world title. He would go on to suffer dementia pugilistica, atrophy of the brain from repeated blows to the head, eventually leading to an Alzheimer’s-like state that destroyed the last part of his life. Glossy 8 x 10 photo of Quarry in his prime, signed in blue felt tip. In fine condition, with some adhesive remnants along bottom border and a light bend to lower left corner.
