<B>Jeffersonville, IN</B></I> - $20 Original Fr. 427 <B>The Citizens NB</B></I> Ch. # 1466<BR> A very scarce note from by far the more rare of this small community's two issuing banks. Just six notes are known from this institution, with this the only First Charter twenty. This piece traces its pedigree back to the Del Bertschy collection, which was sold over two sales by Hickman-Oakes in 1989. In addition to its bank rarity, this specimen is one of only a handful of Original Series FCP twenties we've handled over the years bearing the printed bank charter number, a device utilized on First Charter Originals for only a year before the introduction of Series 1875 notes.
