This Iris & Herringbone crystal footed pitcher is extremely rare and hard to find! It matches both the vase shown in GL-270906 and the creamer shown in GL-280906 and is identical to the pitcher shown in GL-290906.

The Jeannette Glass Company of Jeannette, Pennsylvania made the Iris & Herringbone pattern in crystal from 1928 to 1932, though a few pieces were made in pink and green at that time. Iridized versions of the pattern became available during the 1950s.

This pitcher is 9 1/2-inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide at the top. There also is a ruffle around the top. It has a 4 5/8-inch footed base.

The Jeanette Glass Company was one of the most prolific Depression glass companies in production. It also was one of the most prolific in generating the most designs. Between 1928 and 1946, Jeanette developed and produced eleven (11) patterns of Depression glass, including: Sunburst, Homespun, Swirl, Doric and Pansy, Windsor, Sunflower, Doric, Adam, Sierra, Floral, and Cherry Blossom.

This pitcher is in perfect condition and would make a terrific addition to anyone's Iris & Herringbone collection!
