Distinguished Finnish composer (1865–1957) of Romantic-nationalistic tendencies, best known for his seven completed symphonies and the tone poem ‘Finlandia.’ Commanding vintage glossy 5 x 8.25 photo, signed in blue ink in the blank lower margin. In very good condition, with small creases lightly affecting image and opening stroke of signature, mild rubbing to emulsion, and a few tiny surface marks.
