Best remembered for her role in Jean-Luc Godard’s seminal New Wave classic Breathless, Seberg (1938–1979) was found dead from a probable suicide by barbiturate overdose. Her support of the Black Panthers attracted the attention of the FBI, leading to speculation that her radical political ties contributed to her decision to take her life. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo from Bonjour Tristesse, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Tommy, Regards, Jean Seberg.” In fine condition, with scattered bends and light creases, a couple of which touch her hat and top of her head.
