Marshal of France (1742–1819) remembered for his rigorous standards of discipline among the troops he commanded. Manuscript DS, in French, signed “Serurier,” one page, 8.25 x 12.75, 1808. Document from the Hotel Imperial des Militaires Invalides, in part: "The Minister of War by decision of July 21, 1808, allows the name Jean Bapt. Acqui, Lieutenant…to contract marriage with Damoiselle Marie Genevieve Cellerier of Paris." In fine condition, with some old tape remnants along the left edge.
