Jansem was born in Seulejze (Bursa), Turkey. He came to Paris in 1931 and studied at the Ecole des Arts Decoratives and the Beaux-Arts de Paris. His paintings are in the collection of the City of Paris, the State of France, numerous foreign museums and two museums in Japan dedicated only to his works. He is a leading member of the School of Paris.



Went to Paris in 1931 and studied at the school of "Arts Decoratifs" In 1958, he won the Voburitz Award and the Museum of Mexico Award. He is a member of "Salon d'Automne", and was nominated Chairman of the Exhibition of Young Painters. He is a unique artist who expresses contemporary pain and anxiety in an original technique, by painting in thin layers and scribbling sensitive curves. He captures the models' casual poses with his perceptive, delicate accumulation of sharp lines.
