Two items: a choice glossy 5.5 x 3.5 postcard photo of Louis Armstrong holding his trumpet and enthusiastically smiling, signed and inscribed on the reverse in blue ballpoint, “To the Brooks Children, Louis Armstrong”; and a framed mimeographed DS, signed in ink by Duke Ellington, four pages, 8.5 x 14, March 6, 1946, being an agreement between Lawrence Brown and Ellington’s company Tempo Music, with Tempo agreeing to publish the song ‘Transblucency’ with Brown and Ellington each receiving 50% of the royalties. Signed on the last page by Ellington and Brown, and also signed by Daniel James, “DJ.” In overall very good fine condition.
