The mixed media copper and brass sculpture features an enamel painted Native American peace pipe with braided copper sinew strips with metal black sinew spacers, copper leather strips, and copper and metal bear claw necklace. Metal enamel bead work in a traditional geometric pattern. Colours of turquoise blue, navy blue, white, red, orange and yellow. Arizona artist Jay L. Tschudy is a descendant of the Blackfeet Native Americans. He is a self taught artist and over the years he has sculpted in mediums such as stone, woods and clay, but being born with only his left hand he finds it more of a challenge creating his art with copper, brass and steel. His artworks are currently represented throughout the country and various places around the world in private collections and on display some of the finest galleries nationwide.
