<B>Jay Lynch and Skip Williamson - Insert for Four Seasons LP "Genuine Imitation Life Gazette" (Phillips, 1968).</B></I> One of the oddest record releases of the late 1960s was "The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette," by the popular vocal group the Four Seasons. This was an attempt to break away from their squeaky clean, lightweight pop image, and go for the "hip crowd" currently spending their cash on Jimi Hendrix albums instead of fluff like "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," and other Four Seasons' hits of the past. The album cover was mocked up to resemble a timely newspaper, and inside were these pages of "Underground Comix." The art was by two genuine UG artists, Jay Lynch and Skip Williamson, best known for their work in <B>Bijou Funnies</B></I>, but the content was a little on the tame side (except for a topless <I>Little Orphan Annie</B></I>), and was considered something of a sell-out by Lynch and Williamson at the time. Despite critical raves, the album laid an egg for the group; soon they were back to delivering pop tunes like "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)." The two pages offered here, printed in full color on newsprint, are now considered scarce examples of these two Underground pioneer's work. They have been matted, and are in Excellent condition. <BR><BR><B>Important notice:</B> Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. rights of offset he might otherwise have against the Auctioneer and the

purchaser, who did not bid from the floor, may request Auctioneer to void
a sale. Such request for evaluation must be made in writing detailing the

professional society or affiliation based upon the assigned grade or a
derivative theory, breach of warranty express or implied, representation
or other matter set forth within these Terms and Conditions of Auction or
otherwise, except as specifically declared herein; e.g., authenticity,
typographical error, etc., and as to those matters, the rights and
privileges conferred therein are strictly construed and is the exclusive
remedy. Purchaser by non-compliance to its express terms of a granted
remedy, shall waive any claim against Auctioneer.
<b>Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Provision:</b><o:p></o:p></span></li>

American Arbitration Association (A.A.A.). The A.A.A. arbitration shall be
conducted under the provisions of the Federal Arbitration Act with locale
in Dallas, Texas. The prevailing party may be awarded his reasonable
attorney's fees and costs. An arbitrator's award is enforceable in any
court of competent jurisdiction. Any claim made by a bidder has to be
presented within one (1) year or it is barred. Any claim as to provenance
or authenticity must first be transmitted to Auctioneer by credible and
definitive evidence and there is no assurance such presentment that
Auctioneer will validate the claim. Authentication is not an exact science
and other contrary opinions may not be recognized by Auctioneer. Auctioneer
in no event shall be responsible for consequential and incidental damages
and the value of an item is determined by its high bid, which is
Auctioneer's maximum liability. Provenance is not guaranteed by the
Auctioneer, but rather provenance is guaranteed by the consignor. Any
action or claim shall include the consignor with auctioneer acting as
