Jaws (1975) - Richard Dreyfuss (Hooper) Hero Tracker Strobe/Shark Locator.
Measuring 4 1/4 x 2 1/2 in.
Original tracker strobe used by "Hooper", played by Richard Dreyfuss in the production of the Steven Spielberg directed thriller film 'Jaws' (1975), based on Peter Benchley's 1974 novel of the same name. In the film, a giant man-eating great white shark attacks beachgoers at a New England summer resort town, prompting police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) to hunt it with the help of a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (Robert Shaw).
Used by Hooper and was attached to a yellow floating barrel, tethered to the great white shark, enabling the crew of the Orca to monitor the whereabouts of the shark at night.
