Japanese wakizashi or medium size samurai sword with old blade in good traditional mounts. The blade is Koto period and is unsigned with three holes in well aged and shortened tang. The blade measures 18-1/2" and is in good condition showing temper and grain with a few minor cracks or imperfections and slight exposure of core in blood groove. Blued tsuba, fancy menuke and mounts with nice two-toned lacquered scabbard. Kozuka knife missing. We estimate the blade to be 350-500 years old. Est: $900 - $1,800
