Consists of five items. 1)The China Incident Medal was established by Imperial Edit No. 496 on July 27, 1939 and awarded for service in China at any time from the 12th through the 20th years of the Showa period (1937–1945). 2) The Order of the Rising Sun 8th class. It has nine classes. The lower-class medals, including the 8th class medal, would have been awarded to military personnel for exceptional service or merit. 3) two place ribbon bar for the above medals. 4) Small Japanese Silk “Meatball” flag. It’s made of a very nice quality fine silk, and measures 16" x 13,” a nice size for display. The center of the flag features a printed red disk, that retains great original color. The edges are finished with neat machine stitching. At the hoist end, each corner has a correct triangular reinforcements with intact ties. Japanese writing on lower edge. Overall very good condition with a couple of light water stains. 5) Japanese army WW2 Type 90 steel combat helmet. IJA star affixed. Re-Issued Post War to the Thai Army, helmet has much of its green paint finish to the shell. Complete with adapted leather liner system and a leather chinstrap.
