Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Carbine, 6.5mm caliber, in good condition, with Mum still visible, dust-cover, cleaning rod, sling, original sights, bayonet, scabbard, and frog. The carbine shows 40-60% original bluedrifting to brown with some beginning rust and erosion. The stocks are good with many dings, mars, scratches, consistent with military service and use. The carbine is numbered 162911. And all markings are goodand visible. Action good, bore fair to good and may clean as it is quite dirty. There is a well-defined Japanese-type character or proof right behind the pistol grip on the bottom side of the stock. The bolt isnumbered “301”. The bayonet blade is in good condition, the scabbard exterior mounts are rusty, and the leather carrier or frog is good with normal aging. Est: $600 - $1,200
