Japanese Temple gong made of bronze on its original lacquer stand with silkpillow. Bronze gong is hand hammered and estimated to be 100-300 years old. The lacquer stand is 19th to 20th century; normal aging; with mallet or ringer showing age acquired by an old time collector in the early ‘70’s and probably a G.I. bring back from WW II. These bells are very specially sought after by Japanese for return to Temples and their country. Rings beautifully! Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
