This is a rare early Japanese hand crafted Tanto Belt Dagger. The piece shows two turquoise set stones and two coral stones on a silver or nickel silver worked sheath with brass and copper across the bottom. The silver worked areas are over a layer of Shark Skin that is exposed across the center of the piece. The dagger has a bone handle with turquoise stone and forged tanto blade. This is an early piece believed to be from the 19th century. RARE piece. Overall is 7"L in sheath. Knife is 6 1/8"L with a 3 3/8"L blade.
