Late Edo or early Meiji period brush holder. The vessel is decorated with elegant cobalt blue meandering leafy vines and floral motifs on a white ground. Greek key motif borders appear at the top and bottom. The top inside lip is missing some glaze, otherwise the condition is excellent with no chips. There are no maker's marks.
6" (15.2cm) high, 5.75" (14.6cm) diameter, 1/4" (6mm) thick
