Japanese Baby Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistol, by Tokyo Arsenal, with holster, #4762, 7mm, 3.5'' barrel, blue finish, straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, with one matching and one non-matching (#819) aluminum based magazine. One of the scarcest and most highly prized WWII Japanese semi-autos preferred by their general officers. Production began in 1903 with full production getting under way in 1909. Approx. 6450 mfg'd, with production ceasing in 1927. Condition is excellent with light wear to finish at forward area, minor toning to backstrap, and light wear at muzzle. Grips with minor flattening. Action is crisp, bore is bright. An exceptional Baby Nambu. Fine pigskin holster with light to moderate oil darkening overall; tight bright stitching shows some darkening from time. Kanji remains mostly legible to inside flap. Internal block is present but has lost most of its stitching. Est.: $2,500-$3,500. (C&R)
