Japanese Baby Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistol, by Tokyo Arsenal, #1294, 7mm, 3.5'' barrel, blue finish, straw small parts, checkered walnut grips, with matching aluminum based magazine. One of the scarcest and most highly prized WWII Japanese semi-autos preferred by their general officers. Production began in 1903 with full production getting under way in 1909. Approx. 6450 mfg'd, with production ceasing in 1927. Condition is excellent showing little use, with only light marks in the actioning area of forward grip safety. Grips with only the slightest flattening from handling. Action is crisp, bore is bright. An exceptional Baby Nambu. Est.: $3,000-$5,000. (C&R)
