Japanese Arisaka Type 38 bolt-action Cavalry rifle, 6.5mm cal., 26” barrel, with bayonet lug at bottom of barrel band, military blue finish, full length wood stock with two barrel bands, metal cleaning rod, leather sling with two slingswivels, ground mum but outline of chrysanthemum still visible, good Japanese characters; Koishikawa Arsenal marked; #1595449. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 95% original mat blue finish, very good bore, crispaction, good markings, steel butt plate; wood is in overall very good condition showing scattered nicks and mars from carry and storage and correct two-piece laminated butt stock. A hard-to-find variation of the Type 38. Est.: $300-$600.
