Amazing archive of original photographs and negatives from Janis Joplin’s final public performance, taken by photographer Peter Warrack at Harvard Stadium on August 12, 1970, which is highlighted by a set of seven strips of original negatives from the shows, containing a total of 24 amazing images of Joplin performing on stage; as featured by Rolling Stone magazine, these images were published in 2015, but previously were unknown and never-before-seen. Images from this show are extremely rare and only a few other single images are known to exist. The negatives, which are housed in their original sleeve annotated as “27a, Janis” by Warrack, include a full transfer of copyright for all of the Joplin negative images; copyright is not transferred for anything else within the archive.

Included is a vintage leather-bound photo album, 12.25 x 14.25, containing over 250 first-generation glossy photos of various entertainers and notables of the period, including 24 vintage photos of Joplin at Harvard Stadium, most of which are featured in the negatives along with several additional Joplin images that are not included within the negatives; these are the only vintage prints of these Joplin images included within the Warrack archive. The photographs that are not part of the negative set are unpublished and have never been viewed by the public. Notable figures pictured in the album include: Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Nina Simone, Bette Davis, Ted Kennedy, George McGovern, and more.

Other accompaniments include: an original satin-finish 11 x 14 photographic print of Joplin by Warrack, whose copyright label is affixed to the reverse; an original issue of Rolling Stone magazine from August 6, 1970, No. 64, which depicts Joplin on the front cover; a Memory Records bootleg of Wicked Woman, a live unofficial release of an audience recording of Joplin's Harvard Stadium performance with the Full Tilt Boogie Band; and full transfer of ownership of the domain names www.JanisJoplinFinalConcert.com and wwwJanisJoplinLastConcert.com. In overall fine condition.
