Glossy 8 x 10 photo of Stewart and Rogers from the 1938 romantic comedy Vivacious Lady, signed and inscribed in silver ink, "To Matt, Best wishes, James Stewart" and "To Matt—Warmest of blessings from Ginger Rogers, 1989.” In fine condition, with a crease to the upper left corner tip, and a paperclip impression to the top edge.

Two years earlier in 1936, Rogers starred alongside Fred Astaire in the musical comedy Swing Time, during the production of which Rogers had an affair with the film’s director George Stevens. When she started dating James Stewart shortly thereafter, Rogers pushed for her studio to borrow him for her next movie, Vivacious Lady, which, perhaps awkwardly, was also directed by Stevens.
