James Reid No. 1 knuckle-duster 32 rim fire caliber revolver, 3" round barrel engraved brass frame, 5 shot cylinder, serial #11873. Refer Flayderman 8A-152. The metal surfaces show a gray patina with some light erosionand light pinprick pitting. The cylinder pin is numbered to match. The frame shows a dark patina with some slight wear to the engraving. The outside trigger spring is a well made replacement. Action good and goodoverall. One of only about 250 these estimated to have been produced in about 1865. The markings on the edge of the frame were stamped very close to the edge but are mostly legible. Est.;$1,400-$2,800.
