James Reid 22 Caliber Knuckle duster Revolver
Manufactured from 1868 to 1882, with a total production of about 10,690. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865" and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame with partial number, "59" on the cylinder pin and rear face of the cylinder. Seven shot cylinder. The brass frame is engraved with a leaf and scroll deigns on the sides, scallop and dot design on the top strap and a sunburst on the front of the frame and on the recoil shields. The grip area also acts as a set of knuckles for hand fighting. All nickel finish with casehardened trigger and hammer.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original nickel finish with wear on the high edges where the exposed brass has an aged patina. The hammer retains approximately 70% original vivid case colors. Markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
