Inventor and founder of basketball. Uncommon vintage print, 7.5 x 10, of Dr. Naismith by his friend and fellow professor Ed Elbel, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “To Percy Cowie of Almonte, With best wishes, James Naismith, Altamonte, Ont–Lawrence, Kansas.” Naismith was born in Altamonte in 1861. In fine condition, with some scattered light edge creasing and wrinkling, and some light contrast to beginning of inscription. First signed image of Naismith we have ever offered. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
