Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 13.25 x 8.25, April 20, 1818. President Monroe grants James Crosby a parcel of land in “the South West quarter of section twenty seven, in township sixteen of range fifteen, of the Lands directed to be sold at Lanesville.” Signed at the conclusion by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In very good condition, with intersecting storage folds (two vertical folds passing through letters of the signature), and scattered soiling.
