Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 9.5, October 20, 1824. President Monroe grants William Barnes 80.25 acres of land in Steubenville, Ohio. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Monroe, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Heavy intersecting storage folds, one through a single letter of the signature, moderate overall toning and soiling, and remnants of a removed paper seal to the lower left, otherwise very good condition.
