ADS, one page, 7 x 3, April 1, 1826. Monroe orders the Cashier of the United States to “pay to James Ish or order twenty eight dolrs and eighty two cents.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 13 x 16. In very good condition, with vertical folds, two through single letters of signature, scattered light toning and soiling, and cancellation cuts to lower left. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. Monroe’s signature remains quite bold and distinctive.
