20th Century African American folk artist, James Malone ( Atlanta, Ga 1930 - 2011 ) oil on canvas painting, "Snap Beans", created in the early 1990's when Mr. Malone was a member of rhe American artists for The Bianco Collection. Signed lower right. 11" X 14" on wrapped canvas in a white frame. Information about the artist attached to reverse side.  James Malone, a versatile & prolific African American artist was a retired graphic artist, cartoonist & writer. He was the founder & director of Laughing Trees, Inc., a non-profit, volunteer oriented organization. Also known for painting the trees on his property ( his "laughing trees" ) in his Grove Park neighborhood, he was a famous fixture in Atlanta's vibrant art community & his works are now collected internationally. James was famous for his use of unconventional materials & for recycling frames for his artwork.
