Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 9, September 21, 1810. Land grant issued to David Cox of Montgomery County for a tract of land in Ohio, under an “Act of Congress entitled ‘An Act providing for the sale of the Lands of the United States in the territory north-west of the Ohio and above the mouth of the Kentucky River.’” Signed at the conclusion by Madison, and countersigned by Secretary of State Robert Smith. Matted to an overall size of 20 x 13.5. In fine condition, with previous storage folds, scattered light toning and wrinkling, and some staining to left edge. The white paper seal is toned and worn, but intact.
