Freeman “a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corp.” Signed at the bottom by Madison and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy Paul Hamilton. Moderate storage folds, toning and light fading to Madison’s signature, scattered paper loss along folds and at bottom, scattered toning and soiling, and red seal remnants to bottom, otherwise good condition.
