<B>James Madison Signed Land Grant</B></I> Partly-printed DS <I>"James Madison"</B></I> on vellum, 13.5" x 8.75", Washington, May 28, 1816, issuing "Isaac Julien of Wayne County... whereby it appears that full payment has been made for the southeast quarter section Twentyfive of township Sixteen in range Thirteen lying east of the second principal meridian". Usual folds with some vellum loss not at all affecting signature, light soiling at margins, and torn paper seal.
