Attested to originate from the personal collection of Gemini 12 Commander James Lovell by Heritage Auction—a staple-bound Preliminary Air/ Ground Voice Transcript manual for the Gemini 12 mission, prepared by McDonnell Aircraft, 88 pages (p. 153 to p. 241), 8.5 x 11, with the front cover signed in black ballpoint, "James Lovell, Gemini XII." Additionally, the front cover is stamped "Preliminary," and marked in black felt tip, "Eval. Copy 47-0685" and "Copy 22, Book 103," with an unknown hand adding "Jim" in blue ballpoint; the spine is marked "12." The manual consists of the preliminary word-by-word air-to-ground communications between 36:41:28 to 47:04:19 elapsed flight time. On page 184, there's a particularly humorous exchange between Pilot Buzz Aldrin and one of the CapComs: "43:17:35 P Go Army! Beat Navy! / 43:17:38 CC Oh, Roger. Understand. Beat Army. / 43:17:42 P I knew we had the wrong CAP COM on here." The nearly 4-day Gemini 12 mission, November 11-15, 1966, was the 10th and last of the program. Lovell served as the commander, Aldrin as the pilot, and the CapComs included Stuart A. Roosa, Bill Anders, and Charles Conrad, the latter being the lone Naval astronaut of the three. In fine condition.
