American boxer (1866–1933) who was the first gloved heavyweight boxing champion of the world from 1892 to 1897. Vintage matte-finish 7 x 9 photo of a stately Corbett in a tuxedo, signed and inscribed in pencil “To Robt Dunn from Your friend, Jas. J. Corbett.” Light smudging to the pencil signature, silvering to the darker areas, minor creasing and soiling, small tear to the top edge, and missing upper left and lower right corners, otherwise very good condition. Most of the flaws could be matted out if so desired. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
