Ray writes to a judge in California. In part: “I did enter a plea of guilty in the Martin Luther King, Jr. homicide. I have referred to how the State obtained the plea in the book, primarily because the government obtained control over the attorney representing me. There has never been a ‘confession’ in the case such as my talking to agents of the prosecution and giving them a detailed ‘confession…the media and substantial elements of the legal system appears to have almost a mania for ‘confessions’ regardless of the validity of the confessions.” In fine condition.
