James Dean, Two Playbills for See the Jaguar and The Immoralist, 1952/1954. These two playbills introduce the arrival of James Dean to Broadway. The who's who of the cast of See the Jaguar, in which he plays "Wally Wilkins," outlines his early career. In The Immoralist as "Bachir," the who's who reads "Mr. Dean attracted considerable critical attention in his first Broadway appearance in the short lived 'See the Jaguar,' " and goes on to speak of his early minor roles in Hollywood. In Fine condition, both playbills show signs of age-toning, while See the Jaguar is more affected and shows some minor staining on the lower left corner, and a crease on the lower left back cover. The Immoralist has a small rip on the lower front edge. Both pieces are stamped on the back cover "Private Collection of Constance Argeris," and are a wonderful bit of history of this great cultural icon.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
