Winner of the 1935 Nobel Prize in Physics, he discovered and proved the existence of neutrons, thus paving the way towards the fission of uranium 235 and the creation of the atomic bomb. One of Chadwick’s embossed personal calling cards, 3 x 1.5, imprinted with “Sir James Chadwick, The Lodge, Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge,” and signed on the reverse, “J. Chadwick.” In fine condition, with a uniform mild shade of toning to signature side. An early example from around the time he received his Nobel Prize.
