Vintage 6.5 x 9.75 photo of a kimono-clad woman holding a vase, affixed to a 15.5 x 21 mount, signed on the mount in pencil, “Whistler,” as well as a nice example of his famous butterfly signature under his signature. A few light spots to image, and scattered toning and foxing to mount, otherwise fine condition. Whistler was one of the first westerners to be influenced by the artistic tradition of Japan.
